On Dec 27, 2006, a good news comes from state grid company in Beijing that in the main equipment bidding of world-famous Chinese first 1000KV ultra-high voltage AC testing and demonstration project(southeast of shanxi province-Nanyang-Jinmen),TBEA, who got the tender of all the main equipment in Jinmen, Hubei province and sign 200 million science research contract of ultra-high voltage product, is also the unique one to take the task of manufacturing the transformer and reactor both  in all the company involved in ultra-voltage development plan . Hengbian took the manufacturing task of 4 sets 1000KV reactors with unit capacity is 200 Mvar. The total value of this contract is 60 million. This reactor is the highest voltage level, the largest capacity and the most advanced in the world at present.

Ultra-high voltage demonstration project is the starting project to develop Chinese ultra-high voltage transmission and distribution industry. The task of developing 1000KV transformer and reactor is the important technology tackle project of the state eleventh five years, and also the pilotage project of reindustrializing the national machinery industry for state council. It is also the Shenzhou project in the energy resource field and also a pioneering work for china to rewrite the development way of the world power grid.
